In addition, the PTC-48SL transponders consume typically one-third less power than the PTC-48. All transponders are fully compliant with the SONET/SDH standards requirements. They are available in all the distance options: Short Reach (2 km), Intermediate Reach (15 km), Long Reach (40 km) and Extended Long Reach (80 km). They also satisfy Class I Laser Safety requirements in accordance with the US FDA/CDRH and international IEC-825 standards.
