Here's a handy IC to have for lots of different remote control or decoder uses. These are new old stock 33rd week of 2000 date code and they are getting hard to find! This IC comes in a surface mount package as pictured and is capable of decoding all 16 DTMF tones. These ICs are easy to put into operation and only require a colorburst 3.579545 or 3.58 MHZ crystal or resonator to function. These would be good for repairs and can even be used if you want to build a really small device and are good with a low temp soldering iron (small pins).
