You get TWO NEW PURE TUNGSTEN CVD EVAPORATION BOATS! Each boat has about 7.2 GRAMS of ultra high purity- 5 NINES OR BETTER! pure TUNGSTEN metal! It measures roughly 2 inches by 1 inch with a 3/8x1/4 deep depression in the center. The boat is in new condition- never used. The boat is clamped to a water cooled block electrode and about 100A at 2.3V is cranked through it to heat the boat white hot and vaporize the coating material on to the lenses or dies. TUNGSTEN has excellent wear sputtering resistance as well as refractory properties making it useful for everything from electron guns, crucibles, and semiconductor process gear to lightbulbs! While powdered or sintered tungsten is not too uncommon, these solid pieces of pure tungsten are rather rare and allows you to appreciate the true density of this material.
