What is for sale: Radio nixie tubes transformer hv ht and lv lt output
HIGH POWER toroid transformer for Nixie Tubes
and other types of Radio Electron Tubes or Valves.
Up for sale, one small high quality toroid transformer. It has two types of outputs.
One set of HIGH VOLTAGE outputs to drive the nixies or tubes directly.
One set of LOW VOLTAGE outputs to drive the logic or microcontroller.
* Twin 115V primaries for 115/230V 50/60Hz use. Connect them in series for 230V and connect them in parallel for 115V use.
* Secondary one: 9V - 0 - 9V (18V) Max Load 1 Amp!
* Secondary two: 90V - 0 - 90V (180V) Max load 100mA !!!!! Enough to drive the biggest of clocks!
* The transformer has an outer electrical screen to contain electrical noise.
* Approx. 80mm diameter x 35mm height.
* Weight 650g, including fixing kit.
* Easy to use, and easier than making a high voltage SMPS circuit.
* Supplied with fixing kit and technical information.
The 9V-0-9V is used with a full wave center tap rectifier to feed a 5V regulator, or you can configure for use with +5 and -5V regulators.
The 180V (90-0-90) is used as the nixie or radio tube HT supply with a full wave bridge and capacitor. Or with half wave rectification for use with pixie tubes.
This transformer is in new and unused perfect clean condition, and would look great with the rest of the components used in your clock/other design. Packaged weight for postage is 900g.
Please see my other items for a selection of nixie , pixie, and VFD tubes, as well as other electrical components. Thank you for looking.
