Cable Pulling Caterpillar Machine Can be used as a super heavy duty wire tugger This unit was part of a complete cable manufacturing line and is being offered as a self-contained cable pulling drive. The caterpillar provides a steady pull on the cable which sets the pace of the entire manufacturing line. The cable is pinched between two belts that are driven by a DC servo motor. The motor drives a gear reducer which then drives a right angle box which turns a vertical shaft that finally turns the caterpillar. Even though this unit has a small control box on it, it was wired into a centralized control cabinet where the motor drives were located. To use this unit by itself it needs to have a motor drive installed. Unit is used and in very good condition. We have other cable manufacturing equipment in our store.
