RFI / EMI Noise Filter / Suppressor Cores
Brand New Lot of 5 Ferrite Split Beads (also known as Ferrite Cores or Snap-On Ferrites) – used to reduce or eliminate Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) from electronic equipment. I am including 3 of the most popular sizes and styles in this deal; (2) 3/16” for you small diameter cables (cell phone, A/V cables, USB, etc.) and (2) ¼” Split Beads for your Home Theater A/V, SVGA, and (1) .345” for your Power and other thicker Cords etc. I have recently become sold on the idea of using these Ferrite Cores on most of my computer and home theater equipment, and even my cell phone headset, after reading a few articles and technical White Papers on the benefits of their use. Here are some links to more info and tips on the use of Ferrite Beads for everyday electronics and their health related use with Cellphones.
Most of us have experienced humming noises on our stereos or zig zag lines on our TVs due to interference from appliances like Microwave Ovens, Fans, CB Radios, etc. After looking at a few of my computer peripheral and other cables, I noticed that there were these cylindrical bulbous objects at the ends of some of my better cables (USB, VGA, and DVI Cables to be exact). Turns out, that these cables actually had Ferrite Beads built into them. Unfortunately, not all cable manufacturers include these beads on their cables (I guess to save costs). But you can easily add these Ferrites to your cables that don’t have them simply by clamping them over the cable. Don’t worry if the bead doesn’t fit snugly over the cable – as long as it can close completely over the cable so that the Split Bead’s halves mate securely together, they will do their job. A loose bead is better than one that doesn’t close over the cable entirely and leaves a gap. You can keep the bead in place by using zip ties if you feel it necessary. You can even loop the cable around the ferrite a few times to hold it in place, such as the case when using the 3/16” ferrite with your cell phone earpiece cord (see pictures).
· Easy to use – Just clamp them in place over the cable towards the end that enters or leaves your equipment
· Helps to eliminate or suppress spurious RFI and EMI Noise
· Great for use on Cell Phone Headset Cords, Power, Coax, VGA, USB, Speaker, Telephone, and certain Vehicle Cables
· Black plastic housing encapsulates Ferrite Bead with snap clip for easy installation
New unique items added every week, so check back often!!
