The EVM contains a fully populated board with SMA connectors. The board is meant to be used with test equipment such as Bit Error Rate Testers as well as Oscilloscopes. The PRBS function of the SLK2501 device can be used to perform loop back testing. The EVM will enable tesing of OC-3, OC-12, OC-24, and OC-48 data rates using 622MHz reference clock.
