Modern, compact surface mount design and RoHS compliant. The amplifier is available only in pre-built form, but comes with a layout diagram and schematic. The audio amplifier does not come with a loudspeaker, but you will be able to source your own 8-Ohm loudspeaker through your favourite electronics distributor. The features are: * Bridge Tied Load (BTL) – Direct Differential Drive of the speaker removes the need for large AC coupling capacitors. * Electronic Volume Control. * Surface mount - small size. * Suitable for building on a breadboard, or mounting in a box - button pins allow buttons to mount externally on a box with length of wire. * Maximum volume setting gives a gain of 20dB. * Has maximum output power of 1 Watt with 5V supply and 8-Ohm loudspeaker. * Designed around PHILIPS TDA8551. * Maximum supply voltage 5.5V. Each module is encased in black anti-static foam, to prevent the IC's from being damaged. The audio module is an original design by Tirna Electronics Ltd.
